Acetop Optoelectronics completed Series A financing to accelerate the industrialization of MiniLED/MicroLED packaging technology and equipment

Recently, it was reported that Aipu Optoelectronics completed Series A financing, jointly invested by Jiangsu Shengkun Investment, Zhuoyuan Capital, and Guohong Investment, a subsidiary of Dongguan State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. This round of financing will be used to accelerate the industrialization of Mini LED/Micro LED packaging technology and equipment.

It is understood that ASP Optoelectronics was established in October 2020. It is an LED smart packaging service provider that focuses on the development of traditional LED backlights, Mini/Micro LED backlights and LED transparent screens and other LED display products, and is committed to the industrialization of Mini LED/Micro LED packaging technology and equipment.

Being the first to deploy the Mini LED field in China, it is reported that Mini LED and Micro LED are experiencing rapid penetration in TVs, TV monitors, tablets, automotive panels and other fields. It is estimated that the size of the Mini LED market alone can reach 50 billion + RMB in 2025, and the overall backlight market can reach the level of 100 billion RMB. Compared with traditional products, Mini LED & Micro LED have the characteristics of self-illumination, high brightness, high contrast, low power consumption, wide color gamut and short response time, making it easy to achieve ultra-high resolution display.

Aisip Optoelectronics has fully completed CSP and COB packaging technology, and supports ultra-high-precision SMT production equipment technology and professional die-bonding SMT production equipment technology. At present, CSP and COB packaging technologies have been fully completed, and large-scale implementation has been achieved with strategic customers such as TCL, Samsung, and LG.

As for the team, the founding team members come from Peking University, Harbin Institute of Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Seoul National University of South Korea, Suncheon National University of South Korea and other universities; and have accumulated more than 15 years of packaging production lines and equipment key CSP and COB process capabilities at world-leading MiniLED and MicroLED giants such as Samsung and LG Chem. At present, Ace Optoelectronics' two smart production bases in Huizhou and Dongguan have a total of 38 lines covering a production capacity of more than 3 billion yuan, and support ultra-high-precision SMT production equipment technology and professional die-bonding SMT production equipment technology.
