Garmin launches Fenix ​​8 Pro Micro LED smartwatch: screen peak 4500 nits

• Fenix 8 Pro AMOLED is available in 47mm and 51mm sizes, priced at US$1,120 (IT House Note: The current exchange rate is approximately RMB 8,000) and US$1,200 (the current exchange rate is approximately RMB 8,571) respectively;

• Fenix 8 Pro Micro LED is only available in 51mm size and costs US$2,000 (about 14,286 yuan at current exchange rate).

Among the new products launched this time, the most noteworthy is Fenix ​​8 Pro Micro LED, which has a peak brightness of 4500 nits and more than 400,000 independent light control units. With scratch-resistant sapphire glass and titanium alloy bezel, it can still maintain clear visibility under strong light.

However, the thickness is 2.2mm higher than the regular version, and the battery life is compromised: the Micro LED model can last 10 days in smart mode (always-on display is reduced to 4 days), while the AMOLED version can last up to 27 days.

In addition to the Micro LED screen, Fenix ​​8 Pro series smartwatches directly integrate satellite communication and LTE functions for the first time, supporting two-way satellite messaging, SOS distress and location sharing through the inReach system, and can connect to the Garmin 24/7 response center without a mobile phone.
