German company launches first Linux notebook with MiniLED screen

According to news on May 29, technology media linuxiac reported that German computer manufacturer TUXEDO Computers launched a new product Stellaris 16-Gen7 aimed at gamers and high-end professionals, claiming to be the first Linux notebook with a Mini LED screen.


This notebook is equipped with an HDR Mini LED screen with a resolution of 2560×1600, a peak pixel brightness of up to 1000 nits in HDR mode, covering 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and a refresh rate of 300 Hz.

In terms of processor, the notebook is equipped with Intel's latest desktop processor Core Ultra 9 275HX, which has 24 cores and a maximum frequency of 5.4 GHz, which can handle multi-tasking, complex video editing and intense games.

In terms of graphics cards, the official provides Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080 or RTX 5090. In addition, users can flexibly switch between extreme performance and silent operation according to the usage scenario. In terms of storage, the notebook supports ultra-fast PCIe 5.0 SSD and up to 128 GB DDR5 memory. In terms of interfaces, the notebook includes Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1 and USB-C.

In terms of system, the notebook supports a complete Linux environment out of the factory, with TUXEDO OS, Ubuntu or Kubuntu system pre-installed, equipped with self-developed drivers and cloud services, and optional full disk encryption. Users can also choose Windows 11 system if necessary.

In terms of price, the notebook will be on sale at the end of June. The starting price in Germany is about 2,479 euros including tax, and the tax-free price for international customers is about 2,083 euros.
