As the industry's top event hosted by the International Society for Information Display (SID), ICDT is the "wind vane" in the global display field, and its series of awards have extremely strict evaluation standards. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of ICDT, 52 SID Beijing Branch technical experts selected the "Top Ten Breakthroughs in China's Display Industry" through multiple rounds of reviews. The award-winning results represent the major breakthroughs made by China's display industry in the past ten years in the fields of technology research and development, industrialization and application expansion.
Hisense's RGB-Mini LED technology, which was selected as one of the "Top Ten Breakthroughs in China's Display Industry" this time, is the core achievement of Hisense's deep involvement in the field of high-end LCD displays. The ICDT expert jury believes that "RGB-Mini LED is the latest generation of liquid crystal display technology recognized globally. It is a bottom-level reconstruction of the light source. It solves the limitations of the traditional quantum dot solution through direct color backlight and light color control algorithms. It not only brings a true, pure and transparent native color experience, but also achieves a perfect balance between green energy saving and healthy eye protection."
The technical vision of RGB-Mini LED TV has been explored in the industry for 20 years. However, due to core problems such as lamp bead life and light and color coordinated control, it has always remained in the laboratory stage and cannot be mass-produced. After decades of technological research, Hisense has taken the lead in completing full-link innovation in chips, algorithms, and materials. In January 2026, Hisense launched the world's first exquisite 4-core true color backlight technology, completing the cross-generation leadership in RGB-Mini LED technology.
