But currently, the price of renting film and television-level virtual studios and software services is 160,000 yuan/day. Considering that high prices are not conducive to the promotion and popularization of new technologies, iQiyi announced that starting from June 1, 2025, it will significantly reduce the price of virtual production systems for a limited time. Depending on the specific match of the project, the price of a complete set of software and hardware systems excluding digital scene production will be as low as 35,000 yuan/day.

“This move aims to lower the threshold for using virtual production technology.” Liu Yuning, vice president of iQiyi and general manager of the Production Management Center, said that iQiyi will help more content creation teams achieve higher-quality creations and improve quality and efficiency by promoting and popularizing virtual production technology.

iQIYI has long-term investment in the technical capacity building of virtual production and continues to promote the industrialization and intelligence of the film and television industry. As early as the end of 2020, iQiyi invested in the construction of an XR virtual production system integrating software and hardware in Dachang, Hebei, and then built a 2,400-square-meter virtual studio in Hengdian, Zhejiang in 2022.

In 2024, iQiyi will upgrade Studio 13 in Hengdian Film and Television Industrial Park into a virtual photography flagship studio. The studio has a 500-square-meter immersive LED curtain wall with a pixel pitch of 1.95mm, which can also support 200+FPS low-grayscale high-speed shooting without scanning lines. iQIYI's domestically pioneered 100-ton electric rotating platform for fine art scenery allows the "front and back" shooting commonly used by the crew to no longer be restricted by the LED screen. Not only is it more convenient to switch lenses from different angles, it also greatly reduces the workload of setting the scene.

In terms of system construction, iQiyi’s self-developed patented technologies such as virtual and real depth of field matching, virtual and real color and ground matching, virtual and real lighting matching, etc. have demonstrated virtual and real fusion effects in real shooting of multiple projects.
