TCL Industrial and Brilliance China's smart cockpit production base project is more than halfway progressed

On July 14, Shenyang Automobile Co., Ltd. announced that the construction of the smart cockpit production base project of Brilliance China and TCL Industrial is more than half way.

The project is jointly invested and constructed by TCL Industrial and Brilliance China. It is TCL Group's first industrial project in the Northeast. The total investment reaches 1.4 billion yuan and the construction scale is about 25,000 square meters. It will build multiple intelligent production lines, mainly producing automotive electronic products such as vehicle display assemblies, intelligent cockpit systems and intelligent driving domain controllers. The products will radiate to mainstream domestic and foreign OEMs, and the cumulative output value in five years is expected to exceed 10 billion.

It is reported that the two parties of the project signed a joint venture agreement on December 31, 2024. According to the agreement, Shenyang Jinbei Automobile Industry Holdings Co., Ltd., an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Brilliance Automobile, and TCL Hengshi Tianrui Investment (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of TCL Industrial, jointly established a joint venture, with each party holding 50% of the shares. The total capital of the joint venture is 1.4 billion yuan, of which Jinbei Automotive Control will invest 700 million yuan in cash, while TCL Ningbo will complete equal investment in the form of cash and asset injection.

The joint venture will mainly focus on developing artificial intelligence software, providing cloud computing equipment technical services, information system integration services, technical consulting services, software outsourcing services, and selling intelligent manufacturing solutions, automotive software and hardware, and electronic components.

As a technology industry group under TCL Group that focuses on smart terminal business and ecological chain layout, TCL Industrial has accelerated its expansion into the field of smart cars in recent years. The smart car solutions it has incubated have reached cooperation with a number of leading domestic and foreign car companies.

On July 8, the first column of the main factory building of the Quanyang G8.6 metal mask project was successfully hoisted, marking the official shift of the project from underground foundation construction to above-ground main structure construction.

Data show that the Quanyang Optoelectronics G8.6 metal mask project has a total investment of 500 million yuan and covers an area of ​​about 40 acres. The project is planned to be constructed in two phases and two production lines will be established. The first phase is planned to be completed in June 2026. The annual output value of the first phase is expected to be 300 million yuan after reaching capacity. The annual output value of the overall project is expected to be 600 million yuan after reaching capacity. With the completion of the first hoisting, Quanyang Optoelectronics Company will speed up the project construction progress and plans to enter the production equipment debugging stage in November this year and strive to put it into production in February next year.

It is reported that Quanyang Optoelectronics was established in 2021 and focuses on the production and manufacturing of evaporated metal masks for OLED displays. Its largest shareholder is Huancaixing Technology (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huancaixing"), which is the first domestic enterprise to industrialize precision metal masks (FMM) for AMOLED semiconductor display evaporation.

The first-generation roll-to-roll process mass production line built by Huancaixing FMM products in the first phase has been put into mass production, with a production capacity of 36,000 pieces/year; the second-generation roll-to-roll process mass production line (including the G8.6 production line) has been built in the second phase, and the production capacity can reach 100,000 pieces/year after it is put into production.
