LG began producing OLED panels for apple, with the first output of 400 thousand.

According to foreign media reports, LG display company has begun to produce OLED panels for apple. These panels may be used in the apple iPhone screen. The first production of LG will be 400 thousand, and it is expected to be delivered in December this year.

According to industry sources, if LG monitors start producing OLED panels in November and deliver products to apple in December, it will have to purchase raw materials in October. As it has acquired the corresponding parts and raw materials in the E-6 plant in Po state, Korea, LG has started producing apple preset OLED panels.

It is reported that LG has begun to increase its output in order to hand over these OLED panels to apple in mid December.

The specific terms of agreement between apple and LG display have not yet been released, but industry observers estimate that Apple orders for the company may be about 400 thousand. According to the price of US $89.29 per OLED panel, the total amount of Apple orders to LG is expected to reach US $35 million 700 thousand.

It is not yet clear how large the OLED panels provided by LG display are. Because it can produce large panels, and then cut them into multiple panels of suitable size, that is to say, each panel can create several screens.

LG is already the OLED panel supplier of Apple smart watch Apple Watch. However, most OLED orders are still produced by Samsung. In July this year, it was reported that Apple intended LG display company to supply OLED and LCD panels for its 2018 version of iPhone. However, it is obvious that Apple has only given orders to millions of OLED panel orders for LG monitors, and most of the OLED panels are provided by Samsung.

In September this year, there were reports that LG will provide OLED panels for Apple iPhone XS. But so far, this is not the case.
