Nationstar Optoelectronics’ multiple series of LED device products have passed photobiological safety certification

The IEC/EN 62471 standard is a testing standard for photobiological safety promulgated by the European Union. Its purpose is to evaluate the optical radiation hazards associated with different lamps and lamp systems. This standard comprehensively replaces the requirements on the energy level of LED products in the IEC/EN60825 standard, and adds photobiological requirements, testing parameters such as radiation intensity and radiant brightness, and determining the harmful risks of ultraviolet, near-ultraviolet, blue light, infrared, heat and other factors to the retina, human eyes, and skin. Hazard classification of products is based on test data, including exemption level, low hazard, medium hazard, and high hazard level.
