Osram, Toyoda Gosei expand LED cooperation scope

Osram released a news release on the 7th saying that the company has expanded the content of the patent agreement signed with Japan's Toyoda Gosei in 2007. The original agreement allowed both parties to use certain LED technologies, including white light LED and laser technology, from each other.
The signing of this agreement allows both parties to more conveniently develop and sell new products without fear of unintentional patent infringement. The two companies' research has led to new developments in LED technology, including accelerating research on improving LED brightness.

The new agreement expands the scope of patents in the agreement signed in 2007, and patents filed after the implementation of the original agreement are also included in the new agreement.
