Flexible MiniLED display using Shin-Etsu chemical sealant (pixel pitch 0.25mm)
According to data, Shin-Etsu Chemical was founded in 1926 and is the world's largest wafer substrate manufacturing company and the world's largest polyvinyl chloride manufacturing company. In the LED field, Shin-Etsu Chemical provides various materials required for the production of a wide range of LED products such as Mini LED displays and Micro LED displays.
Shin-Etsu Chemical introduced that the newly developed MiniLED sealant has the following characteristics:
1. High transparency and light resistance equivalent to sealing materials for LED lighting
2. Large-area formability
3. To deal with different substrates, the sealant has high adhesion and stress relaxation (Stress Relaxation)
On the other hand, the newly developed pixel pitches of Taiwan Industrial Research Institute are 0.25mm and 0.75mm The sealant has been used in various MiniLED displays (such as transparent displays and flexible displays), and optical properties such as brightness and contrast and stress characteristics such as thermal cycles have been evaluated. The results show that the sealant meets the standards of Taiwan Industrial Research Institute and can be widely used in various types of displays.
Shin-Etsu Chemical stated that MiniLED displays have various application forms, and the newly developed sealant material can flexibly adapt to various design changes of MiniLED displays. The newly developed sealant has been exhibited at many previous exhibitions such as "Touch Taiwan 2022". In the future, Shin-Etsu Chemical will actively expand the sales layout of new products in the LED display market.
