Three LED lighting companies released their 2022 results, and one’s net profit increased by more than 2 times.

Recently, three LED lighting companies, Sanxiong Aurora, Sunshine Lighting, and Halsey, released their 2022 annual reports. Among them, Sanxiong Aurora achieved net profit growth of 261.31%.

Sanxiong Aurora: Home lighting revenue increased by 8.2%

Sanxiong Aurora is mainly engaged in the domestic lighting market, and its LED lighting products cover commercial lighting, office lighting, industrial lighting, home lighting, outdoor lighting, etc. In the fields of professional lighting such as commercial lighting and industrial lighting, Sanxiong Aurora has strong brand and market advantages.

In 2022, Sanxiong Aurora achieved revenue of 2.264 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 16.42%; net profit attributable to the parent company was 95 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 261.31%.

Despite the severe and complex internal and external environment, during the reporting period, Sanxiong Aurora adjusted its business strategy in a timely manner and became more stable in marketing. It paid more attention to dealer empowerment and channel optimization, strengthened internal changes internally, and improved business processes and internal management mechanisms. As a result, net profit increased.

From the application sector, Sanxiong Aurora has achieved certain results in the home lighting, hardware channels, and outdoor landscape businesses, driving net profit growth.

In the home lighting sector, despite the decline in sales revenue from retail channels, Sanxiong Aurora achieved significant growth in sales revenue through designer channels and decoration company channels. Among them, through sales through designer channels, the sales revenue of the new Shadow Ling series of lighting products without main lights increased by 88% year-on-year, and the demand for whole-house smart products has also entered a stage of rapid development. In addition, Sanxiong Aurora’s e-commerce business achieved sales revenue of 132 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 51.16%. Sanxiong Aurora's home lighting revenue in 2022 will total 345 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.2%.

The hardware channel sector is the most important part of Sanxiong Aurora's sales network construction in recent years. During the reporting period, more than 8,000 new hardware sales outlets were opened, and the current number of existing sales outlets has exceeded 26,000.

In the outdoor landscape segment, despite the downturn in the domestic landscape lighting market and the stagnation of many cultural tourism projects during the reporting period, Sanxiong Aurora still achieved revenue of 78 million yuan in outdoor landscape-related businesses, a year-on-year increase of 3.24%.

Looking forward to 2023, with the domestic market gradually recovering, Sanxiong Aurora Lighting stated that it will attach great importance to the development of intelligent products and solutions, implement the "1+N" channel development strategy, and initially set a 2023 operating target to achieve sales revenue of 2.74 billion yuan.

In the first quarter of 2023, Sanxiong Aurora achieved revenue of 390 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6.98%; net profit attributable to the parent company was 12 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 49.57%.

Sunshine Lighting: The revenue of independent brands in the Asia-Pacific region exceeds 100 million yuan

Sunshine Lighting’s main products include LED lighting products and lighting control systems, covering commercial lighting, home lighting, office lighting, outdoor lighting and other general lighting, as well as emergency lighting, plant lighting, electrical appliances, etc.

Due to factors such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the slow development of the lighting industry, in 2022, Sunshine Lighting achieved revenue of 3.731 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 12.50%; net profit attributable to the parent company was 184 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 41.78%.

It is reported that during the reporting period, Sunshine Lighting increased its efforts to explore overseas markets. In the American market, the product categories of Sunshine Lighting's DIY customers and supermarket customers have further expanded, and home decoration products have been widely recognized by customers.

In the European market, Sunshine Lighting has developed Southern and Eastern European countries with relatively low market shares, and at the same time strengthened the expansion of e-commerce channels and commercial lighting wholesale channels in the European market.

In the Asia-Pacific market, Sunshine Lighting has implemented marketing investment measures such as customer communication and visits, new product promotion, and improved terminal product display, promotion, and distribution channel construction. During the reporting period, Sunshine Lighting achieved a cumulative independent brand revenue of over 100 million yuan in ten key countries during the reporting period.

In the domestic market, Sunshine Lighting continues to deepen its channel network construction and focus on segmented project channel expansion, and comprehensively initiates the development of the home smart lighting market.

Haoersai: Develop smart cultural tourism, light arts, and metropolitan business

Halsey's main business is lighting engineering. In 2022, Halsey's revenue was 407 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 48.34%; its net profit attributable to the parent company turned from profit to loss.

Horse said that the decline in performance was mainly due to factors such as delays in lighting projects to varying degrees, increased difficulty in collecting payments for engineering projects, and weak demand growth for municipal lighting, commercial lighting, landscape lighting and other factors.

It is reported that Haoersai is actively exploring three new business areas. First, it combines traditional lighting with smart technology to form a "smart light art" business segment; second, starting from the original night lighting cultural tourism business, it expands the boundaries of cultural tourism business and creates a "smart cultural tourism" business segment; third, it seizes the development opportunities of smart cities and digital villages to create a "smart city" business segment.

Looking forward to 2023, Halsey will continue to explore three new business areas; accelerate the overall strategic layout of "Smart+" and vigorously develop smart business; accelerate the research and realization of the deep integration of lighting with Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, edge computing and other technologies.
