UDC Chengdu OLED Technology and Innovation Center officially opened

On June 2, UDC announced the official opening of its Universal Display Chengdu OLED Technology and Innovation Center.

The facility features state-of-the-art laboratories and a dedicated customer service center to support materials characterization, device optimization and application development. UDC said that this will help the company more deeply participate in the entire process of customer product development and accurately match customers' evolving technical specifications. At the same time, the establishment of the center also reflects UDC's long-term investment and layout expansion in the Chinese market, as well as the company's key role in the broader OLED ecosystem.

Steven V. Abramson, President and CEO of UDC, said: "The opening of Universal Display Chengdu OLED Technology and Innovation Center is an important milestone for UDC's continued development in China. We are continuing to expand our presence in the Chinese market to promote deeper collaboration, provide more direct and practical support, and promote the development of the next generation of high-performance, energy-efficient, sustainable display and lighting products."

It is worth mentioning that just 8 months ago, in October 2025, UDC's global headquarters and R&D center were completed in Singapore. The facility covers an area of 8,000 square feet and integrates headquarters office, R&D center, laboratory and prototype production line. It is designed to promote the innovation and commercialization of the company's unique Universal Vapor Jet Printing technology.

In the next five years, UDC plans to invest 50 million Singapore dollars to purchase equipment and introduce talents to comprehensively accelerate the research, development and commercialization process of UVJP technology.
