Violumas launches ultra-narrow beam UVLED

Violumas, an American high-power UVLED solution provider, has launched an ultra-narrow 10° beam device suitable for collimation, focused illumination, long-distance and fiber coupling applications.

The VioBeam-1X1 series offers 255nm, 265nm, 275nm, 295nm and 310nm wavelengths and can provide up to 0.1W light output. According to the company, its integrated 10° optics maximize the concentration of UV light into small target areas.

Compared to a typical 135° flat window, the VioBeam-1X1 emits up to 55 times more light in a small 10x10mm spot at a 50mm distance, allowing the use of fewer LEDs to achieve high dose targets.

Violumas said that the LED has high far-field light intensity and focused point lighting, and can be used in life sciences, water disinfection, curing, spectral analysis, environmental monitoring, air purification, scientific research and other fields.

For fiber coupling applications, the VioBeam-1X1 can be coupled directly to fiber or integrated with secondary optics to achieve a collimated UV light source with minimal optical loss and cost. The device can be installed directly into the system as a solderless LED or supplied as a plug-and-play module with a heat sink.

Information shows that Violumas is a company focusing on high-performance UV LED solutions, headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA, and affiliated with the American Business Group. The company provides a full range of UVLED products and customized solutions, covering UV-A, UV-B and UV-C bands. Its products include chips, UVLED packages, UVLED modules and UV-CLED water sterilization reactors.
