Weiguang Technology establishes a Shanghai subsidiary to expand its smart wearable business

Recently, according to Qichacha’s data, Shanghai Xuanjing Vision Technology, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AR company Weiguang Technology, was established in Shanghai. The company is located in Xuhui District, Shanghai, with a registered capital of 10 million yuan and its legal representative is Zhang Yadong. Its business scope covers many core businesses such as basic artificial intelligence software development, wearable smart device sales, integrated circuit sales, and technology import and export.

As the parent company, Weiguang Technology was established in September 2023. It is an innovation-driven enterprise focusing on the deep integration of AI and AR technology. In terms of products, Weiguang Technology has launched the Xuanjing series of smart AR glasses. The first mass-produced product, Xuanjing M5, will be officially released in April 2025. It is a clip-on AR glasses with a modular design and the body weighs only 25.8 grams. The product is equipped with JBD Micro LED 0.13-inch micro-display and binocular diffraction light waveguide technology, equipped with Hummingbird Mini II monochromatic light engine, with a volume of only 0.15 cubic centimeters. It can project an 86-inch high-definition large screen equivalent to 4 meters away, with a peak brightness of up to 1500 nits.

Its innovative clip design can be directly adapted to the user's own myopia glasses without the need for additional glasses. Non-myopia users can also install temples to convert them to one-piece wear. Functionally, Xuanjing M5 supports scenarios such as reading, translation, navigation, and inscriptions. It is equipped with the Hongyan OS system and integrates AI large models such as DeepSeek and Tongyi Qianwen. It can provide services such as AI outlines, book Q&A, improvisation, and translation summaries.

In September 2025, Weiguang Technology officially released Xuanjing M6 full-color AR smart glasses at Milan Fashion Week. The product is equipped with the world's first Mini AR screen, based on Micro LED and full-color diffraction optical waveguide technology, built-in Hummingbird II light engine, the volume is only 0.2 cubic centimeters and the weight is 0.5 grams, which is half smaller than the previous generation. It adopts a magnetic and replaceable design. Users can select functional modules as needed. After removing the screen, it can be used independently as a shooting and audio device.

In terms of financing and strategic development, Weiguang Technology completed a Pre-A round of financing of nearly 50 million yuan at the end of 2024, exclusively led by Dinghan Investment. The round financing funds were mainly used for the research and development of a new generation of AR products.

In terms of project construction, in September last year, Weiguang Technology’s Asia-Pacific smart wearable equipment R&D and manufacturing headquarters signed a contract with Liangxi District, Wuxi City. The project invests approximately 300 million yuan to build a smart wearable equipment R&D and manufacturing headquarters that integrates R&D, intelligent manufacturing and market operations, and build an intelligent production line with a target annual output of 1 million units of flexible AI glasses.
