With a total investment of 1.6 billion yuan, Xita Technology Micro OLED and other projects have started construction in Sichuan

On April 9, news from Tianfu New District, Meishan, Sichuan, that Xitai Technology’s global IC R&D center and display module project started.

The project has a total investment of 1.613 billion yuan and covers an area of 108 acres. It will build a global IC R&D center, production plants and multiple Micro-OLED module production lines.

The first phase of the project is planned to be put into operation in June 2027, and the second phase will add a module production line and an OEM complete machine production line. Once completed, it will have an annual production capacity of 10 million display modules and 3 million OEM units.

Currently, Xitai Technology is building production capacity for micro-display technology in Sichuan, forming a full industry chain of chips-devices-modules-complete machines.

In addition to the start of the Meishan project, Xitai Technology's 12-inch silicon-based OLED microdisplay industrial park project in Nanchong, Sichuan was capped at the end of last year. The total investment in the project is 2.5 billion yuan. It focuses on the construction of Xitai Technology's second 12-inch silicon-based OLED production line, which is engaged in the production of silicon-based OLED microdisplay devices. The project is designed to have a monthly production capacity of 6K wafer. It is expected to achieve product lighting by the end of 2026 and mass production in the second quarter of 2027.
