AI computing power drives the growth of optical interconnection: Tianfu Communications’ operating income in 2025 will increase by 58.79% year-on-year

On April 8, Tianfu Communications officially disclosed its 2025 annual report. The report shows that against the background of the rapid growth in demand for artificial intelligence computing power and the acceleration of global data center construction, the company's operating income and net profit both hit record highs.

According to financial data, Tianfu Communications achieved operating income of 5.163 billion yuan in 2025, an increase of 58.79% from 3.251 billion yuan in the same period last year. The net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies reached 2.017 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 50.15%. After deducting non-recurring gains and losses, the company's net profit still maintained a rapid growth of 50.42%, reaching 1.976 billion yuan.

Behind the substantial growth of Tianfu Communications' performance is mainly due to the development of large artificial intelligence models, which has accelerated the demand for high-performance computing power. With the intergenerational upgrade of global data centers, the demand for high-speed optical device products continues to grow steadily, driving the company's active and passive product line revenue to explode. At the same time, the company continues to reduce costs and increase efficiency through smart manufacturing, further consolidating its profitability.

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Suzhou, Tianfu Communications is a leading one-stop platform technology company in the global optical interconnection field. The company is in a key midstream position in the industrial chain and is mainly engaged in the R&D and production of optical components, high-speed optical devices and optical engines. As the core supplier of upstream optical modules, Tianfu Communications' products are the basis for photoelectric signal conversion and transmission, and are crucial to the iteration of optical communication technology.

The company's core business has expanded from early precision passive devices to today's high-speed active packaging and integration field. In 2025, the company's active optical device business performed particularly well, achieving revenue of 2.997 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 81.11%, and its proportion of total revenue rose to 58.06%.

Tianfu Communications revealed in its performance report that the company has successfully completed mass production of 1.6T optical engines, and is actively deploying next-generation cutting-edge technology routes such as CPO (optoelectronic co-packaging) supporting optical devices and silicon photonic integration, laying the foundation for supercomputing centers and AI cluster applications.

With its technical strength and rapid delivery capabilities, Tianfu Communications has become the preferred supplier for many mainstream optical communications manufacturers around the world. Its largest customer, Fabrinet, will contribute sales of 3.268 billion yuan in 2025, accounting for 63.31% of the company's total annual sales. It is reported that Fabrinet is mainly engaged in the foundry business of optical modules, and its main customers include Cisco, Lumentum, Nvidia, etc.

Looking forward to 2026, Tianfu Communications will continue to anchor the deterministic market opportunities brought by AI computing power. The company plans to deepen its global strategic layout and focus on accelerating the production capacity ramp-up of its production base in Thailand to more flexibly respond to the differentiated needs of global customers. At the same time, the company will continue to increase investment in R&D, focus on 1.6T and above speed products and key CPO directions, and strive to achieve sustained and steady growth with both quality and scale through lean management and digital intelligence transformation and upgrading.
