AUO’s revenue last year was approximately 54.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 33.4%.

Panel manufacturer AU Optronics announced yesterday (10th) that its consolidated revenue in December last year was 18 billion yuan (NT$, the same below), an increase of 3% from November and a decrease of 43.3% from the same period last year; the consolidated revenue for the whole year of 2022 was 246.79 billion yuan, approximately RMB 54.9 billion, a decrease of 33.4% from 2021.

AUO issued a press release stating that consolidated revenue in the fourth quarter of 2022 was 52.65 billion yuan, an increase of 5.9% from the third quarter of 2022 and a decrease of 43.4% from the fourth quarter of 2021.

AUO stated that the total panel shipment area in December 2022 was 1.538 million square meters, an increase of 2.3% from November. The total panel shipment area in the fourth quarter of 2022 reached 4.322 million square meters, an increase of 11.5% from the third quarter of 2022, but a decrease of 33.6% from the same period last year.
