After Xiaomi and Huawei, Ant Group also invested in this optical communication chip company

According to the Qichacha APP, Changzhou Zonghui Xinguang Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zonghui Xinguang") has recently undergone industrial and commercial changes, adding Shanghai Yunjue Enterprise Management Consulting Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ant Technology Group Co., Ltd., as shareholders.

Information shows that Zonghui Core Light focuses on providing vertical cavity surface laser (VCSEL) chips and related modules. The company's products are widely used in 3D sensing, AR/VR, autonomous driving, biomedical sensors and optical communications and other fields.

In terms of financing, from 2016 to 2026, Zonghui Xinguang has completed more than 10 rounds of financing, with the maximum single financing amount reaching hundreds of millions of yuan. Before Ant Group's investment this time, its major shareholders included Huawei Hubble, Xiaomi Yangtze River Industrial Fund, China Development Bank Manufacturing Fund, Dongguan Sunshine and other industrial giants and national capital.

In terms of production capacity layout, Zonghui Xinguang has established three major bases: Changzhou production and manufacturing center, U.S. R&D center and Taiwan supply chain management center. Among them, the Changzhou factory is equipped with advanced MOCVD epitaxial technology for the growth of 6-inch gallium arsenide wafers, and has comprehensive back-end packaging, testing and certification capabilities for bare VCSEL chips and related modules.
