Apple is working hard on transparent displays, and augmented reality is coming soon!

According to morning news on June 15, Beijing time, according to Apple's recently obtained patent, future iPhones may use transparent displays to use augmented reality technology to superimpose virtual information on real images.

The patent granted to Apple on Tuesday, titled "Transparent Electronic Devices," describes a touch display integrated into a transparent window.

The patent document gives an example of a museum where users can click in front of a painting to view details of the painting, which will be superimposed on the real-life graphics. Landmarks, historical sites and tourist attractions can also take advantage of this technology.

Since the birth of smartphones, the performance of this device has become more and more powerful, and it has gradually absorbed the functions of other devices. Augmented reality is not new. The City Lens application previously provided by Lumia mobile phones can already overlay information on real images, but introducing it directly into mobile devices reveals the future direction of the iPhone.

This technology will not only be limited to handheld devices, for example, tour buses can also use such windows.

Apple also received a patent on Tuesday for "electronic devices with wrapped displays." In the patent, the company envisions a design that combines a transparent arc-shaped casing with a flexible display.

The device not only maximizes the use of space on the surface of the fuselage, but also uses facial tracking technology and accelerometers to determine where the user is looking, thereby presenting information to the user at the corresponding location.

Apple has not commented on this.
