Nichia Corp. published a press release yesterday (30), pointing out that the WOFI Leuchten Wortmann & Filz GmbH has withdrawn its appeal, so the decision of the German court of Duchess Saif has been confirmed. It has been identified that a total of 12 white light LED products of the WOFI infringed Japan Asia's white light profit.
Japan and Asia are aiming at the key patent of YAG white LED EP 936682 (that is, Germany's patent number DE 69702929). The lawsuit mentioned earlier in the press release has infringed Japan's patent for the 12 white LED product of WOFI, a subsidiary of Germany, and the manufacturer of home lighting products, and has been sentenced in July 4, 2017 by the German court of dusai doffer. It supports the request of Japan to issue a permanent injunction against WOFI and asks WOFI to make an account. The book is used to calculate damages and pay damages, and also to recover and destroy all competing products.
At that time, it was mentioned that the judgment still had to be appealed, but according to the latest statement by Japan, the appeal made by WOFI for the German district court decision was withdrawn in October 1, 2018. At this point, the decision of the German District Court has been confirmed, and it will also compensate the WOFI for damages and litigation costs based on the verdict. Up to now, 100 million light has not yet responded to this case judgment result.
