Taiwan's LED epitaxy / crystal power plant has been reduced by 16% in the first 7 months due to factors such as company strategy adjustment, supply chain inventory control and blue light LED off-season. However, the company believes that the operation has been gradually warming since August. Main blue light LED backlight demand into the shipping season, plus red light / four yuan LED full load, the current order visibility can reach October, expect third quarter revenue is better than the last quarter, but still has pressure.
In regard to new products, crystal electric has officially launched Mini LED backlight products and began to produce small quantities of shipments. The backlight Mini LED is mainly supplied by competitive display backlight and large size display. The small and medium size products are still sending sample authentication. The display Mini LED is currently available to Korean and mainland customers for indoor or outdoor displays. Overall, the contribution of Mini LED this year is still limited, and the fastest volume is likely to be in 2019.
Blu ray LED, in the first half of this year, was affected by backlight off-season and supply chain inventory regulation. The company believes that this year's peak season effect is relatively late. Recently, the demand for blue light LED orders has been heating up, plus four yuan LED capacity has also been fully loaded. It is expected that there will be room for performance in 8 and September, and the order visibility can reach October. With the increase in the third quarter royalty income and the decrease in fees, the legal person estimates that the third quarter profits are better than the previous quarter.
However, although the third quarter revenue is expected to be better than the previous quarter, there may be some pressure on the order strategy, product mix and LED price, if compared with the same period last year. Among them, CSP orders are higher than last season, but they are not as good as last year.
Affected by the blue light LED's traditional off-season and the company's order adjustment strategy, the total revenue of crystalline electricity in the first 7 months of this year is about 12 billion 256 million yuan (NT $, the same below), and the annual decrease is 16.2%. The average gross profit margin in the first half of this year is 17.3%, the annual decrease is 3 percentage points, the earnings per share is 0.48 yuan, slightly better than the same period last year. Revenue in July was 1 billion 800 million yuan, 0.1% in month and 19.4% in year. The company expects that growth in August will be more obvious in September than in September. It is supposed that the third quarter revenue should be better than the previous quarter. However, the revenue last year was 6 billion 960 million yuan and the base period was higher.
