CREE (Nasdaq: CREE) announced the launch of XLamp XP-G3 S Line LED, based on the existing leading XLamp XP-G3 LED to optimize and upgrade, and help interconnect lighting.
At present, sensors and Internet of things (IoT) technologies are being widely used in commercial indoor lighting, car park lighting, industrial lighting and road lighting applications. CREE aims at such long life and high-power general lighting applications, optimizing high-power LED technology, and launching XP-G3 S Line.

For a specific environment, interconnected lighting systems operate through information sources such as sensors, including dimming or shutting down unnecessary lights to achieve energy saving goals. On average, an interconnected lighting system has 10 times higher dimming and lighting than a standard lighting system. More frequent dimming and switching cycles bring more pressure to the LED system and will affect the life of lamps and lanterns. The new XLamp XP-G3 S Line LED can withstand twice the number of switching cycles through innovation in device architecture, compared with the same level LED, thereby ensuring the life of the entire interconnected lighting system.
The new XP-G3 S Line LED further improves the reliability of the switch cycle and dimming cycle on the basis of the standard XP-G3, and further improves its anti sulfuration performance, and provides higher optical output and higher optical efficiency. XP-G3 S Line LED is more stable and reliable. It can provide excellent LED system reliability even in harsh environment for all lighting applications.
Mario Sergio Martins, partner of Genesis Devices & Equipment, said: "our customers expect LED solutions to be more efficient and cost-effective, and they need high reliability to withstand the harsh outdoor environment in Brazil. With the launch of the new XP-G3 S Line LED, CREE will provide a fast and simple upgrade plan for all our products, including products that have or are about to install IoT controlled by the Internet of things, which will bring higher performance and higher reliability.
Dave Emerson, CREE executive vice president and general manager of LED division, said: "CREE lighting level LED has promoted the change of lighting, and LED lighting has been widely adopted. Looking forward to the future, the application of interconnected intelligent lighting has put forward more stringent requirements for LED devices, and the lighting market needs more optimized LED devices. CREE's new S Line LED uses a unique chip and packaging architecture to provide higher reliability and higher performance, and is able to withstand harsh harsh environmental conditions, repeated dimming cycles and switching cycles.
XP-G3 S Line LED can provide an easy and convenient upgrade for LED systems based on existing XP, and help lighting manufacturers quickly apply these LED to their product design. The LM-80 data of XP-G3 S Line LED have been acquired to help lamps meet the requirements of DLC certification immediately. XLamp XP-G3 S Line LED is now available for sample application and can be produced at standard delivery time.
