Case study of Beijing China Central Academy of Fine Arts Library

China Central Academy of Fine Arts library has a long history, a building area of about 6000m2, more than 400 reading seats, mainly with the art library, Journal of social science books reading room, reading room, electronic reading room of foreign books and art books, center line library, rare book stacks etc.. In 2009, the school decided to reform the interior and lighting of the library reading room.

In the transformation of the interior, the original room as a stack space into the reading room, the area expanded from 450m2 to 760m2. At the same time, with the transformation of space, the original reading room ceiling will be removed, so the lighting to re design.
