Chongqing's special action to "grasp projects to promote investment" was launched, involving new displays

On January 10, Chongqing held a mobilization and deployment meeting for the 2023 special action of "grabbing projects to promote investment". In 2023, Chongqing's investment work will regard industrial projects as the top priority for investment, build and repair chains, extend and strengthen chains, accelerate the improvement of the core competitiveness of industries, and strengthen investment in key areas such as information to make up for shortcomings.

At the same time, Chongqing will also introduce "1+9" special program measures to ensure that special actions achieve effective results. Among them, the "Chongqing Municipal Government's 2023 Special Action Plan for "Promoting Investment by Grasping Projects" was officially launched on January 9. It is the first policy measure to "increase confidence, stabilize growth, and strengthen entities" issued by the municipal government this year.

The Economic Work Conference of the Municipal Party Committee put forward the 16-character work orientation of "stabilizing and increasing efficiency, eliminating risks and troubles, reforming for change, and benefiting the people", requiring continued expansion of domestic demand, promoting economic stabilization and recovery, and decided to plan and implement a special action of "grabbing projects to promote investment" to stabilize manufacturing investment, strengthen infrastructure construction and investment in social fields, and lay a good policy "combination punch" to actively expand effective investment.

To this end, the city will focus on key areas such as manufacturing, infrastructure, and social undertakings, accelerate the implementation of major projects, and accelerate the formation of physical investment.

In terms of manufacturing investment, we will promote the implementation of a number of strategic and leading projects and chain-reinforcing and chain-strengthening projects, focusing on the construction of two trillion-level industrial clusters such as intelligent networked new energy vehicles and electronic information manufacturing, as well as characteristic industrial clusters such as integrated circuits with special processes, new displays, intelligent equipment, advanced materials, biomedicine, new energy and energy storage. We will implement more than 180 major municipal-level manufacturing projects, increase investment in technological transformation, increase the proportion of industrial investment, and strengthen investment promotion and implementation.
