On October 7, foreign media reported that North American lighting manufacturer Current Lighting Solutions ("Current") announced plans to close its architectural lighting business Forum Lighting ("Forum"). This integration of the business will take place over the next twelve months, subject to the outcome of negotiations with local unions.

Current mentioned in the announcement that the company will integrate Forum's production within twelve months. At the same time, it also stated that it plans to phase out Forum's lighting products and transfer selected product lines and future business to Current's architectural interior lighting brand Litecontrol and its manufacturing plant in Plyton, Massachusetts, USA.

Current's goal is to simplify Forum operations and improve service to agents. Current will continue to support Forum's existing business operations during the thirty-day negotiation process with local unions.
It is reported that Forum has more than 50 years of experience in manufacturing high-end customized architectural lighting products. It mainly provides linear lighting and other lighting products for various landmark projects. Application cases include: New York World Trade Center Transportation Terminal, Cleveland Medical Center, Pittsburgh Roberto Clemente Bridge and other projects. In April 2021, Current officially announced the acquisition of Forum to strengthen the company's architectural lighting business development.
Foreign media reported that Current is expected to finalize the treatment plan for the Forum business before November 12, 2024.
