DLC released V4.3 specification draft version, good lighting manufacturers and distributors

EST on October 10th, the United States Lighting Design Alliance (DLC, Design Lighting Consortium) released V4.3 specification draft version, for advice. Compared with the currently executing V4.2 V4.3 draft version will be increased by Field-AdjustableProducts, Color Tuning, 3-foot 8-foot, and 2G11-Base, Replacement Lamps, V4.3 is expected to take effect in March 2018 will give the lamp manufacturers and distributors to bring huge economic benefits.

The increase of Field-Adjustable Products

DLC dimming requirements will be amended to allow QPL including the factory set or adjust the flux field of products. This flux by the manufacturer, distributor, or installation in the installation before or during the installation of lighting regulation. This scheme will bring huge economic benefits to the lighting manufacturers and distributors, and reduce the cost of packaging and shipping.

For the Field-Adjustable products (including Dimmable products), DLC will be updated to the testing and reporting requirements: the product must be set in its default mode (if the maximum power consumption pattern is not the default mode is in the maximum power consumption mode under test).

Definition: the following two categories of products can apply:

The Dimmable products from the default mode gradually reduce the luminous flux;

The Field-Adjustable products from the default mode gradually increase or decrease of luminous flux.

Reminder: the distribution of light adjustable products currently not considered in.

The increase of Color Tuning

Color tunable products is defined as in all cases where the input through the input controller of any type, to adjust the light CCT products.

The request contains two types of color products: White-Tunable products and Dim-to-Warm products.

Note: RGB or adjustable non white product is not currently under consideration.

3-foot 8-foot, and 2G11-Base increased, Replacement Lamps

Mainly for the following 3 problems are discussed:

1. due to the test size of test equipment is limited, the test data of 8ft lamp 4ft lamp is composed of the same structure data to predict the. That way is debatable.

At present, 2. will be updated and test report does not contain the T8HO lamp 8ft, whether it needs to be taken into account?

Methods of test and report 3. at present will be updated to include 2G11 lamp replacement lamps of compatibility test, DLC ballast in the list for the test.
