CnBeta messages, usually, intelligent devices need to rely on Bluetooth or WiFi networks for communication. The problem is that WiFi networks are not always available, and Bluetooth will quickly consume batteries. These facts let Disney researchers look for new ways to allow equipment to communicate with each other through LED lights. As you might imagine, Disney researchers first let the toys in the built-in LED lights communicate, and the photodiodes built in LED can not only glow or detect light.
Disney called this technology a visible light communication system, and the first product of this technology, including a toy car, can be automatically started when it is close to the light source. Another example is the girl's clothes, which is built to activate the flickering LED lamp, and when the rod is close, the LED lights on the clothes start to flicker.
However, the technology has other potential uses, such as LED adapters connected to a smartphone or tablet, and can receive LED light signals that are invisible to the naked eye, which will allow stores to send notification messages to a shopper's smartphone or tablet, more efficient than the current NFC Beam.
