Displaybank:2008 LED backlight module bullish

In 2007, the use of mercury free flat panel light source (FFL) or external electrode fluorescent lamp (EEFL) dispute finally subsided, and now the focus of the market has been placed on the use of LED instead of cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL). Considering the LED levels, environmental protection, thickness / weight ratio, form factor, contrast and response time advantage, in 2008 the industry generally want to increase the notebook, TV backlight source in the proportion of LED.

At the same time, in the large-size backlight module (BLU), although the panel manufacturers continue to accelerate the improvement of processing module, but the beginning of 2007, the new trend became popular, is the production of liquid crystal display module manufacturers OEM (LCM), and then integrated the BLU, then taking the panel supply. Through this process, the panel vendors reduce labor costs in the process of integration of the modules, thus greatly benefit. So this new trend by the panel vendors and BLU vendors welcome, is expected in 2008 OEM production will further increase.
