Recently, the US Department of energy (DOE) issued a federal communique on the testing procedures of integrated LED lamp (LED). The integrated LED lamps required to enter the United States must be tested in qualified laboratories according to the requirements of this test procedure to obtain data of total luminous flux, input power, light efficiency, correlated color temperature, color rendering index, power factor, life expectancy and standby power. The regulation came into force in August 1, 2016 and was enforced in December 28, 2016. According to the requirements of the regulation, the test of the above parameters should be carried out according to the standards of LM-79, LM-84, TM-28 and IEC6 2301 respectively. In addition, from August 1, 2016 onwards, DOE controlled LED Lighting Facts stickers (color labels) will suspend all new submission of Lamps because of the new integrated LEDLamps DOE test procedure: DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY 10 CFR CFR 429, 430 430, 2011, - 2011 - Effective 1. Moreover, DOE is about to launch a non integrated LEDLamps testing program for non integrated LEDLamps. Any application for column names submitted before August 1, 2016 will continue to be processed. The products that have been acquired DOE LED Lighting Facts names remain in the network database Database. The LED Lighting Facts working group will further investigate and study the latest DOE regulations, and will notify all partners immediately if there is a final decision. DOE LED Lighting Facts will continue to accept the delivery of LED luminaries and refurbished suites. DLC has also revised its request for LED Lighting Facts. From August 1, 2016, it will no longer require the LM-79 data to be submitted to the LED Lighting Facts. Please note that DLC will continue to accept the application for lamp certification. This change does not affect DLC's LEDLightingFacts requirements for other categories of products. About DOE LED Lighting Facts: DOE LED Lighting Facts is a voluntary energy efficiency labelling certification project of the US Department of energy DOE for LEDSSL solid state general lighting products (including integrated LED bulbs, non integrated light bulbs, lamps and lanterns, refurbishing Kit). Through this project, LED manufacturers can submit samples in authorized laboratories according to IESNALM-79-08 and other industrial standard tests, and then submit reports to get the names of DOE LED Lighting Facts, so as to show their excellent product performance. North America's latest standard courier, UL 1993 standard update, with the continuous introduction of new products such as the increasing number of LED lamps (TypeA/B/C), LED filament lamps and LED modules, UL has updated the standard technical requirements based on new products and technologies. The latest requirements of UL certification for LED light source products and the update trend of UL 1993 standard are as follows:
