Dubai started the "160 thousand" replacement plan to replace the traditional lamps with LED bulbs

The joint force of Dubai electric power company and the government housing unit contributes to the installation of lamps and lanterns. This project mainly replaces traditional lamps and lanterns into LED bulbs. In collaboration with local energy company Etihad, Dubai electric power company is expected to replace 500 buildings in areas such as Al Barsha, Al Warqa and Oud Metha, replacing traditional bulbs with 160 thousand LED bulbs. The package is intended to reduce energy consumption and raise public awareness of the use of LED bulbs. Dubai electric power company assigns 6 teams to carry on the replacement. At the same time, the plan can also make Dubai power companies more integrated into the community in creating renewable energy, reducing electricity and protecting the environment. The Dubai electric power company aims to provide about 160 thousand LED bulbs and solar panels for 2000 families. Dubai is expected to transform into a city with the lowest carbon footprint by 2050. The replacement of LED bulbs can reduce energy consumption and support Dubai's 2030 energy integration program, reducing 30% carbon emissions by 2030.
