Transport trucks shuttle back and forth, builders are busy setting up poles and wiring smart street lamps, and the construction site of the "Future Road" section of Optics Valley Science Island in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Zone is busy.
On October 17, the Wuhan Optics Valley Science Island project, a key infrastructure project in Hubei participated in by Foshan Lighting, achieved a breakthrough. It successfully completed the installation and commissioning of smart street lights on the "Future Road" section, and the entire section was powered on and lit.
"Future Road" is the north-south main artery of Optics Valley Science Island, and it is also the first road to achieve structural connectivity. This section uses 210 smart street lamps independently developed and produced by Foshan Lighting. Each smart street lamp can intelligently adjust the illumination of the lamp group to achieve the best lighting effect according to different seasons and time periods. The light efficiency is as high as 170lm/W, which is about 20% more energy-saving than the current 130lm/W lamps on the market, further promoting the intelligent development of urban lighting environment.
Foshan Lighting's smart street lamps have functions such as remote real-time control of single lamp lighting, road video data collection, traffic flow data collection, lighting strategy management, etc. It also reserves installation locations for 5G base stations and other intelligent equipment to meet power supply, communication and other needs. While creating a beautiful and tidy urban road environment, it helps achieve unified management and statistical analysis of urban big data, effectively saves urban space and construction costs, and accelerates the transformation and upgrading of urban informatization, digitalization, and intelligence.
Since the construction of the project, Foshan Lighting and the project team have rushed to start construction, grasp the progress, and ensure the construction period on the premise of ensuring quality and safety, and have made every effort to build quality projects for people's livelihood. During the National Day, a large number of builders stayed at their posts and fought on the front line during normalized epidemic prevention and control, speeding up construction operations and ensuring the completion of various construction node goals.
It is reported that the "one vertical, two horizontal and one ring" backbone road network of Optics Valley Science Island is jointly invested and constructed by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau and Hubei Science and Technology Investment. It has a total length of 21.6 kilometers and includes 7 roads including Future 1st Road, Gaoxin 6th Road, and Gaoxin 7th Road. Within the year, the island's road network will be realized with "one vertical, two horizontal and one ring" circles, which will smooth traffic inside and outside the Science Island and promote the infrastructure construction in Wuhan and Hubei and the integration of transportation in the urban circle.
