Fourth of China's TFT-LCD production line for investment $3 billion

Fourth domestic five generation TFT-LCD plant has started in Shandong city in Dongying, is expected to total investment of $3 billion, the investment amounted to $1 billion 250 million.

It is reported that Shandong, Dongying Information Industry Bureau, told Reuters that the TFT-LCD project investors include a Taiwan enterprise, Dongying Information Industry Bureau and a local company.

Shanghai radio and television group and the Japanese NEC in Shanghai last year joint venture built China first TFT-LCD five generation line; then Beijing BOE Technology Group Co. in the acquisition of South Korea's Hyndix TFT-LCD production line, built second to five generation line in Beijing.

China's third TFT-LCD production line by the Jiangsu Longteng company, together with the local government, and from Japan and Taiwan region of the joint venture companies, is expected to be put into operation in early next year, the first phase of the project.
