Henan Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau: Two batches of LED lamp products failed to pass the spot inspection

China Quality News Network recently learned from the Henan Provincial Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau that in the second quarter of 2014, the Bureau conducted provincial supervision and inspection on the quality of LED lamp products. A total of 17 batches of LED lamp products produced by 14 companies in 8 provincial cities including Zhengzhou, Anyang, Jiaozuo, Xinxiang, Xuchang, Shangqiu, Nanyang, and Jiyuan were selected. Two batches of products did not meet the standard requirements. This supervision and inspection is based on GB/T 24907-2010 "Performance Requirements for LED Lamps for Road Lighting", GB/T 24908-2010 "Performance Requirements for Self-Ballasted LED Lamps for General Lighting" and "2014 Provincial Supervision and Inspection Implementation Plan for LED Lamp Product Quality", the lamp power, power factor, initial luminous efficacy and luminous flux, color characteristics, photometric distribution, electrostatic discharge, radio frequency electromagnetic field, Fifteen items including power frequency magnetic field, fast transient, injected current, surge, voltage drop and interruption, harmonic current, disturbance voltage, and radiated electromagnetic disturbance, and five items including lamp power, power factor, initial light efficiency/luminous flux, color characteristics, and harmonics of self-ballasted LED lamps for general lighting were tested. After sampling inspection, a batch of "Yuwei Optoelectronics" LED street lamps from Jiyuan Yunzhou Yuwei Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. (specification model 12W, production date 2014.02) failed in lamp power, harassment voltage, and radiated electromagnetic harassment items; a batch of "Daxiang Optoelectronics" LED fluorescent tubes from Henan Daxiang Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. (specification model DX-ATB0605 production date) 2014.04.11), the lamp power and color characteristics items failed. The Henan Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision stated that it has instructed the quality and technical supervision departments of relevant provincial municipalities and directly administered counties (cities) to handle unqualified products and their production enterprises in this inspection in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
