Product Maintenance

Hon Hai Micro LED has a tight global layout. ELux is on the line.

Micro LED technology began to receive market attention, and it began to buy LuxVue from APPLE. With the 2017-2018 Micro LED keyword approaching to the white hot, manufacturers speed up their alliance. The most notable audience is Samsung and Hon Hai, apart from APPLE and SONY.

Hon Hai announced in 2017 that in order to lay out the most promising new generation display technology Micro LED after OLED, the company invested about 10 million US dollars through its subsidiary CyberNet to get some eLux shares, and pan Hon Hai Group became eLux's largest shareholder.

In June 2018, Hon Hai's investment in the United States was upgraded from "Fly Eagle" to "Flying Eagle". Terry Gou, chairman of the board, pointed out that three states will be selected in the early stage, and three states will be invested in half a year or a year later. It will not be just a factory but a whole industrial chain. It can be a plan of over 10 billion dollars over a period of five years.

With such a huge plan, Hon Hai is no longer a foundry assembly manufacturer. It is a transformation to industrial 4 and manufacturing based international companies, and is also moving towards the big data company of intelligent manufacturing and AI.

At the same time, Hon Hai acquired the 7.32% stake in Taiwan's LED chip manufacturer, Catcher, in June 2018 from the former shareholder of Technology LED, and set up a full-color LED chip. We can see that SHARP has launched a 70 inch 8K TV at CES 2018, and is ready to present the results at the new plant in Hon Hai.

In the coming 2020, pan Hon Hai Group will publish Mini LED products in combination with Guang, Rong, Chuang Chuang and SHARP. The product line covers TV, competition notebook computers and Monitor. Combined with the previous purchase of eLux, at this point, Micro LED Hon Hai's overall industrial chain has formed a one-stop pattern, and eLux is the most important part of Hon Hai's Micro LED industry puzzle.

LEDinside is honored to invite eLux, Inc. founder and technology Paul Schuele to share with you the feasibility and mass production of Micro LED transfer technology. It is reported that in the eLUX patent, we have applied for fluid assembly and location patents, the main feature of which is to force many micro devices to locate, so as to achieve the maximum assembly speed. For more details and personally feel the mystery of fluid assembly and positioning, you are welcome to attend LEDinside Micro LEDforum 2018 in July 12th in the 201 room of International Conference Center of Taipei Taiwan University Hospital.
