How does the cloth change the second touch screen? Controllable mobile phone and lighting fixtures

Phoenix Technology May 30th news, according to the science and technology website PCWorld reports, Google at the I/O conference displayed a fabric made of smart fiber, in the future or can be used to control smart phones or home lighting.

The pilot project, called Project Jacquard, "weaves" the electronic components into the fiber, making the cloth "turning" into a touch screen, and the user's fingers can slide on the cloth to control the nearby electronic devices.

Google set up several showcases at the I/O conference. On a display desk, users can use a piece of cloth to manipulate 3D images on the nearby display, another piece of cloth can switch the songs played by the mobile phone, and a piece of cloth can control the lighting on the ceiling.

It is not clear how Google plans to take advantage of the technology developed by its advanced technology and project groups. The Google 3D map technology, Project Tango, also comes from the Department.

Google announced on Friday that Levi''s was the first Project Jacquard partner, but did not publish any specific "smart clothes".

Part of the video on the Project Jaquard website has a scene of industrial weaving, so Google may have solved the problem of mass production of the fabric. The signs at the edge of the exhibition show that the fabric is being made in the textile mills of the United States and Japan.

Karsten Schwisger (Carsten Schwesig), a Google executive in Project Jaquard, says the technology can be used in almost all fabrics. There are some wool and silk threads on the wall on the back of the booth, which may indicate that the technology will be used in woolen and silk fabrics.

Skei Weiss G said Google and its partners have been developing this technology for about 1 years.
