LGD officially mass-produces 240Hz RGB strip OLED panels

On May 28, LG Display (LGD) officially announced that the world’s first 240Hz RGB Stripe (stripe) OLED panel has fully entered the mass production stage. This technology will provide a new visual solution for multi-tasking and high-resolution applications in the AI ​​PC era.

The RGB Stripe OLED technology mass-produced by LGD arranges the three sub-pixels of red, green and blue vertically in linear strips. Under this structure, a pixel density of up to 160 PPI is achieved for the first time.

Compared with traditional displays, the innovative design of RGB Stripe OLED can render small text and numbers more accurately and clearly. For users who need to do document processing, stock trading, programming or content editing for a long time, this panel not only provides a comfortable viewing experience, but also effectively reduces visual fatigue.

In addition to excellent static display effects, this panel has also achieved major breakthroughs in refresh rate and dynamic performance. Equipped with LGD's independently developed dynamic frequency and resolution technology, this product allows users to freely switch between two modes according to usage scenarios.

In the 4K 240Hz high-resolution mode, photo editing, video editing, and daily window switching operations will become sharp and smooth; and when users switch to the high refresh rate mode of FHD 480Hz, the screen can minimize motion blur and screen freezes, bringing a smooth and immersive experience for fast-paced competitive games or sports events.

In terms of market strategy, LGD is currently working closely with major well-known display brands around the world to take the lead in mass-producing the 27-inch version with the largest market demand, and plans to gradually expand the product line of this series in the future.
