Lighting enterprises and Internet giants have squeezed the survival space of WIFI manufacturers?

With the rapid development of mobile terminals, smart home and Internet of things, the choice of communication giant and Internet giant by the lighting enterprises is no longer new. In May 2015, GE joined Apple Qualcomm to enter the market of networking lighting equipment. In mid February 2016, the global IT giant CISCO joined hands with Cree to launch Smartcast Ethernet. The network power supply intelligent lighting platform, attacking the Internet of things market, and before that, CISCO has established a global partnership with PHILPS; in March 15, 2016, PHILPS took the lead in the British telecommunications company Wo Dafeng (Vodafone), and implemented the remote control intelligent street lamp; in March 18, 2016, the Internet of things lighting platform supplier Gooee and EnOcean cooperation. Together, we built a netted Bluetooth intelligent lighting control system. In mid April, HUAWEI and OPPLE signed a cooperation agreement for smart home. In April 26th, GE's Current company spent one hundred million Australian dollars to acquire Daintree Networks, a famous manufacturer in wireless communication and intelligent lighting industry. Traditional lighting enterprises make up for their shortcomings in networking technology through cross-border cooperation with communication companies and Internet Co, opening up new markets and seeking business breakthroughs. Most people think that intelligent lighting will be the first wave from the market after the combination of the two, but it is also suggested that cooperation between traditional lighting enterprises and Internet Co is likely to rob Wifi makers of their jobs. As we all know, WiFi is one of the main technologies of near field communication, but in recent years, a new technology is also very striking, that is, Lifi. LiFi, also known as visible light unlimited communication technology, essentially light and radio waves are electromagnetic waves. By adding a chip to control the light flickering in the LED lamp, it can code different data information according to different light rates. The receiver installed on the notebook and mobile phones can accept this kind of data information. 。 That is, where there is light in the future, there is a network. Lifi based on LED can achieve 10 Gb/s data transmission rate, and can improve the upper limit of Wifi 7 Gb/s data transmission rate. The rate of laser data transmission can easily exceed 100 Gb/s. Low latency and higher transmission rate are the two advantages of Lifi. However, Lifi wants to be widely popularized, and still needs many problems, such as customer service, interference in light network communication environment, communication distance, correlation technology and communication standard. But the future of Lifi is still worth looking forward to. "Ceng Yueming is a disruptive technology," said Ceng Yueming, chief engineer of new tri lighting Optoelectronics Division. From the point of view of energy saving, safety, transmission speed and information quantity, Lifi is superior to WiFi, which has been researched and developed by many foreign enterprises. The recent cooperation between HUAWEI and OPPLE lighting may have breakthroughs in Lifi. Sheng Wenjun, chairman of tailing microelectronics, also said: "the smart bulbs of the Internet of things are likely to become the backbone of the Internet of things in the future. Although the Internet of things is mostly wireless, there is still a need for a backbone network. In fact, there is a very suitable carrier is lights, lights everywhere, there are lights in people's places, indoor and outdoor; if each lamp can be connected to the Internet, other intelligent products around it can be accessed through the MESH network of lights. From this perspective, it is very meaningful to make the networking of lights into intelligence.
