Mobile phone control of street lighting? Try this APP

Street lighting engineers can now establish and maintain their intelligent network through their mobile phone.

This mobile phone is OSRAM's APP Tuner4Tronic Field, using near field communication protocol of the latest "(NFC).

The parameters are usually required to adjust the light output (depending on the type of street), dimming time and dimming level. The dimming function according to the specific application is not activated, such as the roundabout and pedestrian crossing. The manufacturer can specify which features in the field configuration. They also determine the range of parameters can be changed, in order to ensure the reliable operation of lamps and constant output.

OSRAM Product Manager Carlos Rohde said, "our application to urban lighting to be able to use standard, can quickly and easily meet the different requirements, without having to keep many different types of inventory. This saves time and cost of installation, maintenance, storage and replacement."

Through the APP in the copy and paste function, fault lamp settings can be immediately transferred to the new lamp. There is no need to check the old lamp configuration; the whole process offline, the user will not store their data in the cloud.

Another advantage of NFC is not required to line voltage. Therefore, even if the driver fails, the original configuration of the LED driver can also be possible to restore.
