NEC launches industrial white LED backlight LCD panel

NEC LCD technology in September 8, 2008 developed a backlight light source using a white LED 5.7 inch LCD panel module (Figure 1). There are two types of "NL6448BC18-01" and 800cd/m2 "NL6448BC18-01F" of brightness 400cd/m2. Compared with the backlight using cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) compared to the original product, power consumption is reduced by about 50%. Mainly used for measuring and FA control and other industrial equipment.

The number of pixels of the LCD panel is 480 * 640 (VGA). The contrast ratio was 1000 to 1 and the response rate was 18ms. The upper and lower left and right angles are 160 degrees. Display color number 260 thousand.

In terms of power consumption, the brightness of 400cd/m2 products for 1.8W, brightness of 800cd/m2 products for 3.3W. Working temperature range is -20 ~ 70 C. Sample supply in November 2008. Sample price is: the brightness of 400cd/m2 products of 30 thousand yen, the brightness of 800cd/m2 products of 35 thousand yen.

The development of new products will be on October 2008 29 ~ 31 on the Pacific Yokohama Convention and Exhibition Center held on the FPD International on display.
