NEC company recently announced that the company has successfully developed a flexible like paper thin battery, this battery will eventually be used in a variety of mobile devices.
NEC will be named after the new battery ORB-- "organic efficient battery" (Organic Radical Battery). NEC said the new battery will initially be used in smart cards and smart paper applications such as. NEC pointed out that the new battery full charge again only 30 minutes, and other power supply is different, the new battery does not contain any possible damage to the environment of metal materials.
Different from ordinary batteries, the new battery is made of the so-called "organic high efficiency polymer" material. The thickness of the battery structure is 300 microns, which is why it can be used for smart card applications. Since it can be bent, the same applies to paper like applications or RFID devices.
NEC said: the company expects this new and unique battery in the future will be widely used in a variety of ubiquitous ultra-thin terminal.
NEC did not say whether it will bring new batteries to the market, but NEC said the company will continue to research and development in order to improve the technical performance of the battery. NEC will be on display this week at the Tokyo exhibition this new battery.
