On April 24, at the city’s energy-saving and consumption-reducing work conference and “vacate the cage and change the bird” work conference, Ningbo released the “report card” on energy-saving and consumption reduction in 2013. A total of 392 companies in the city actually completed the elimination of backward production capacity (equipment) throughout the year, and built the first phase of a public bicycle project with 600 outlets and 15,000 bicycles. A total of 46.64 million tons of waste resources were used, and the total output value of comprehensive resource utilization products was 3.53 billion yuan.
This year, Ningbo will extend clean production audits from industry to key industries such as commerce and transportation, promote the construction of a low-carbon transportation system, increase the application of renewable energy in buildings, implement LED lighting renovations for government offices, and promote LED street lighting renovations.
