The Chinese OPPLE lighting company (OPPLE) is considering the acquisition of a first Century German colleague TRILUX, which could make the latter valued at 500 million euros (RMB 3 billion 886 million), Bloomberg quoted sources as saying, but German officials are strictly monitoring the purchase of mergers from China.
OPPLE lighting, with a market value of about $4 billion 600 million (RMB 28 billion 877 million yuan) in Shanghai, is working with consultants to study the possibility of buying TRILUX, and has started preliminary negotiations with TRILUX, sources said.
It is reported that TRILUX was founded in 1912, specializing in the production of indoor and outdoor lighting equipment, the flag has marketing and display space lighting brand Oktalite and wind proof lighting equipment brand Zalux. According to the TRILUX official network, the company has about 5200 employees worldwide, with a revenue of about 615 million euros (about 4 billion 780 million yuan) in 2016.
