According to foreign media reports, Magna Electronics (Magna Electronics) and the United States Rohinni company set up a joint venture Magna Rohinni Automotive to produce ultra-thin Micro LED lighting solutions.
The joint venture will be controlled by magna, integrating Magna's strong electronics manufacturing and Rohinni's lighting technology in the mobile industry. The company will be based in Holly, Michigan.
The thin film Micro and Mini LED of Rohinni can be applied to almost any application, creating new possibilities for design and product differentiation. In addition, the company has developed a technology to place Micro LED on the surface of the substrate to support mass production.
Rohinni CEO Matthew Gerber said, "Magna has brought global brand and influence to this partnership, and years of experience in the automotive market and application".
According to Rohinni's Micro and Mini LED technology, Magna also made a minority investment in Rohinni in other industries, applications and products.
Swamy Kotagiri, chief technology officer of Magna, said, "joint venture with Rohinni has brought unprecedented light and flexible lighting technology".
