OSRAM Opto Semiconductors Oslon Black series adds six new car IRED (IREDs). 850 nm version is suitable for night vision, pedestrian protection, front identification and lane detection and other external applications. The new 940 version of nm is especially suitable for automotive interior applications, such as driver monitoring, seat occupancy detection and gesture recognition. Due to the different wavelength and lens, these products cover a wide range of customer requirements, and can be in the pulse mode in current operation up to 5A.
The maximum pulse current of new products up to 5A, before the product is 3A. These IRED particularly bright, continuous working time, output up to 2 W. The six new IRED have different wavelength and beam angle. SFH 4715AS A01, SFH 4716AS A01 and SFH 4717AS A01 wavelength was 850 nm, the beam angle respectively, plus or minus 45 degrees, plus or minus 75 degrees and 25 degrees. SFH 4725AS A01, SFH A01 and SFH 4727AS 4726 A01 wavelength was 940 nm, the beam angle respectively, plus or minus 45 degrees, plus or minus 75 degrees and 25 degrees. Lens with high refractive index of silica gel, and only a very small amount of light from the side of the loss, increase light extraction rate. The maximum operating temperature is 125 ~ C IRED.
High light pulse output and a variety of integrated lens options enable system designers to choose the right IRED for any application, without the need to install two optical devices. The infrared light source wavelength of <900nm will be perceived by the human eye is red. The red light will be a lot of suppression in 940nm.
As with other products of OSRAM Oslon series Black, IRED model has excellent performance, long service life and excellent thermal performance. OSRAM Opto Semiconductors ELS Marketing Manager Walter Rothmund said: "with Oslon Black Series in this line, we can cover the car inside and outside all lighting applications based on IRED. These IRED typical performance and compact size for the Engineer provides maximum design freedom, end customers can benefit from a new road safety level." (Editor: LED James)
