Seoul Semiconductor filed a lawsuit against two companies in the United States over LED TV patent infringement

On July 22, Seoul Semiconductor (SSC) filed an LED TV patent infringement lawsuit against Curtis International in the Southern District Court of Florida, USA. According to multiple legal publications, Curtis International is a Canadian consumer electronics company. Seoul Semiconductor also filed a separate but related lawsuit against Craig Electronics Inc.
Seoul Semiconductor accuses two defendant companies of infringing its U.S. patents:
U.S. Patent Nos. 6007209, 6473554, 6942731, 7572653, 7964943, 8314440. The lawsuit, coded 1:14-CV-22729-CMA, alleges that Curtis International has been manufacturing and selling television products related to the patents filed in the Southern District Court of Florida for infringement. Coded 1:14-CV-22728-RNS, the lawsuit alleges that Craig Electronics Inc. has been selling and distributing infringing products.
