Simulated sunlight color temperature change smart lamp Silk matching human body clock

According to Tencent digital news, electric light has a profound impact on the development of human civilization, but its influence on human body is another matter. More and more scientific evidence shows that artificial light will destroy the biological clock responsible for the circadian rhythm of the body. Fortunately, the manufacturers of light bulbs are now trying to solve this problem - of course, not just PHILPS and Ge.

LED lamp manufacturer Saffron is the latest company to join the camp. It is reported that Saffron began financing the Silk Light project on the public funding website Kickstarter on June 23rd. Silk Light is an application controlled white LED lamp, which can adjust its color temperature to avoid damaging the natural sleep / wake-up cycle of the human body. According to Saffron, Silk Light can produce an exciting cold light during the day, and it will give out pleasant warm light in the evening, approaching the 24 hour cycle of natural light.

Urban lifestyle allows people to enjoy only limited natural light, which can make people's physiological rhythm disorder, because the body's internal biological clock is precisely adjusted to a 24 hour day / night cycle. Adding insult to injury is that many devices with screens will emit blue light that inhibits the secretion of melatonin and inhibit sleep. Some researchers and Saffron and other manufacturers believe that the answer to this problem is to allow the bulb to simulate the change of color temperature and brightness in a day.

Can we use the existing smart lamp that supports color temperature adjustment to accomplish this task? Maybe, but it's very difficult. Silk Light and its supporting applications are specially designed to solve this problem. Users can follow the default plan or set the brightness and color temperature of different bulbs and bulbs at different times in a week. Users can even set up Silk Light according to specific activities.

In an email sent to TechHive, Saffron said, "what makes us different from other bulbs is mainly our nClick technology. Using our unique nClick system, users can change the setting of lights by pressing 1 or 2 light switches. Silk Light does not require users to increase wiring or install other components.

According to Saffron, users can use Silk to apply specific actions of the specified switch to press mode (supporting any standard wall switch). For example, the user can specify the two switch to activate the rest and relaxation mode. Similarly, pressing the three switches can activate the exercise mode. At the beginning, the luminaire gives an exciting and bright cold light, and as the exercise draws to a close, it changes to a relaxing light.

Silk Light uses ZigBee wireless network protocol to communicate with smart phone through a ZigBee-WiFi bridge. Silk Light brightness is equivalent to 60 watts of incandescent lamp, the energy consumption is 12 watts, luminous flux is 800 lumens. The color temperature range of Silk Light is 2700K-6000K. The package containing 3 Silk Light bulbs and 1 bridges is priced at $99 on the Kickstarter (about 605 yuan). Saffron plans to raise $100 thousand (about 610 thousand yuan).
