South Korean e-commerce market in September sales grew 45%

November 7th, according to the latest statistics released by the National Bureau of statistics show that due to seasonal factors, South Korea's e-commerce sales in September reached a record level.

South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported that in September the amount of e-commerce transactions in South Korea reached 947 billion won (about $903 million), an increase of 45% over the same period in 2004, an increase of more than in August of this year by 7.2%. The volume of e-commerce transactions in September was the highest since July. E-commerce transactions in July amounted to 892 billion won (about $850 million).

South Korea's Bureau of Statistics said that in the third quarter of this year, South Korea's e-commerce transactions amounted to 2 trillion and 720 billion won (about $2 billion 600 million), an increase of about 10% over the same period in 2004.
