The design hobby news, today I want to share with you is the design of a studio of Xiaobian super love: Studio Drift. Founded in 2006, it was originally composed of two designers, Ralph Nauta and Lonneke Gordijn. The idea of this studio is also interesting. They want to combine nature with technology, use existing knowledge and imagination to collide, use technology to express nature, and find the balance between them. The following 7 works, each of you can see the shadow of nature, everything is beautiful.
1. Grow into a flower.
This lamp should be one of the most famous works of Studio Drift, which is exhibited in Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, called Shylight, with a total of 5. The lighting is based on plant movement, and it has been completed in 5 years. It can blossom like a flower. It's hard to imagine a small flower. How beautiful a blooming lamp is. If you have the chance to go to Amsterdam, don't forget to visit the museum to see its beauty.
2, span the brightness of space.
This work is a lighting Flylight produced by Studio Drift commissioned by an art collector in Nigeria. The lighting span two layers of space, and the light is winding. This is also the first time Studio Drift has brought his works to Lagos, the capital of western Africa, Nigeria.
3. Flowers in abandoned hospitals
Cidade Matarazzo is an abandoned hospital in St Paul, Brazil. After 20 years of unquestioning, it was finally reborn in 14 years. 50 artists from Brazil and 50 artists from the world make it an artistic paradise. Studio Drift also displays this work, and the flower clusters are more alive.
4, natural glory
This work is Nola created by Studio Drift and Holland label designer Buhtiq 31. At first, the work was just an experiment, and designers wanted to combine color and lighting with a special form. A set of 4 sizes of clocks, 4 different colors, shows us the whole spectrum and different light intensity. When the lights are on, different colors mix together.
5, bloom to LV
LV is definitely an international luxury brand. This is the second time that Studio Drift has been invited to bring the Fragile Future work to LV shop. If you go to the Tokyo pine house Ginza shop in the LV, don't just think about buying a bag. It's absolutely worth it to look up the lamp.
6, the shadow of dandelion.
The works also belong to the Fragile Future series, called In Praise of Shadows, at the V&A Museum in London. It uses low energy and low power bulbs as a light source, which is intended to change our understanding of light and dark. In fact, the most popular hobby is its appearance, like dandelion shining.
7, chair of the soul
The exhibition, called Ghost Collection, is from the SuperDesign exhibition in London. It is a highly futuristic work created by experts from Europe. The light is on the chair. We can see that the inside of the chair is hidden in the ghost of the designer. In fact, it is also a little trick by the designers. There are many empty bubbles in the stool, so that we can see the complete pattern in the light.
