The UK technology strategy board (TSB) is launching a $10 million investment in research and development of high efficiency lighting, laser and display integration and frontiers. TSB chairman Iain Gray explained the reasons for investing in the field, said lighting energy consumption accounted for 20% of the UK's energy, and energy conservation is the most urgent thing.
All funds are required to apply for funds from February 22, 2008 to 27 on the day of the registration of the company, and submit the company's project overview of the. The TSB investment will tend to be profitable projects in collaboration with other companies or research organizations and institutions.
Previously, TSB has been actively investing in industrial LED, a variety of areas of high innovative joint research, such as inorganic and organic high brightness LED, as well as laser and display fields.
