In photography, there are many accessories that can be used to assist photographers. For example, the American brand Westcott Ice light looks like the lightsaber in the movie star wars, which sells for $500, and there are some restrictions on the price. This trendy luminaire can actually make the same effect if you buy a LED flashlight. Now we need to teach you how to make DIY ice lanterns, so that you can play beautiful lights when shooting portrait.
Preparation tool
The appearance of ice lanterns is similar to household fluorescent lamps. However, we usually do not use fluorescent lamps as the lighting source. Because the fluorescent lamp is a non continuous light source, the color of the screen will be yellow or white. To solve this problem, we can use continuous light source LED lamps. Ice lantern is light and easy to carry. It is quite flexible in the use of photography. It can be used as apple light, hand-held light or eye light. And so on. Only the following materials are available, LED flashlight, PVC plastic pipe and PVC connector. You can play ice lanterns without spending a lot of money.
Tools:
LED flashlight, white PVC plastic pipe (about 80cm), white PVC joint, plastic belt, saw, scissors, sandpaper, tin foil.
Making method
Step1
First measure the length of the LED flashlight, cut half of the PVC plastic pipe, let the flashlight can be put in, and use sandpaper to grind the edges.
Step2
The LED flashlight is then secured by plastic tape.
Step3
Cut the PVC joint, draw 4 small pieces so that the joint can cover the PVC plastic pipe, and then the PVC connector is stuffed into tin foil so that it can reflect the light.
Step4
After the combination is completed, the ice lantern can be used. If you encounter the PVC tube's too smooth inner wall, according to the suggestion of POCOer, the white material with material in the pipe is padded, and the white material, such as thinner white cloth or sulfuric acid paper, can be changed to diffuse light, which makes the light more uniform. Even and soft.
Shooting effect
LED flashlight costs about a hundred pieces, plus a few PVC plastic pipes. It doesn't cost much money to make self-made lamps and lanterns.
